Text description provided by the architects. This project is co-designed with the artist, Yukihiro Yoshihara. It is a photography gallery located in Taito-ku, Tokyo, sitting in the corner of a small temple. This small gallery was extended to the parking space in an existing building. The building includes a three-meter wide square shape exhibition room and a three by one meter rectangular exhibition room. Both of them are very narrow spaces. The joint parts of wall, ceiling, and floor are made of prefabricated polycarbonate that let the three parts blur into each other. When inside, the endless wideness atmosphere is experienced in the extremely narrow interior space.
